I launched Design Museum Magazine in 2016 as a tangible manifestation of the Design Museum’s community of design thought leaders. As a nomadic and virtual museum, we needed a physical artifact we could share with our community to connect them to our mission. The team and I grew Design Museum Magazine to be a staple of our offerings and something our community looks forward to every quarter. It’s design inspiration you can hold in your hands.

Each issue contains stories from creative thought leaders on how they’re using design to change the world. From a mother starting up a new kind of school to a group of students designing villages for the house-less community. From prosthetics to playground design and more. Design Museum Magazine features profiles and interviews from amazing designers working across the creative spectrum. Plus design reviews, process advice, and exercises to stretch your design mind. Beautiful photos, illustrations, and data visualization bring each design narrative to life — and we make it our mission to show the design process behind each great project.

We successfully crowdfunded the next evolution of Design Museum Magazine in 2020, and a special issue on the intersection of design and policing in 2021.
